One of the most popular comedies of all time I have been trying to persuade Michael Frayn and his agent to let us produce this in Frinton for the last five years! It’s almost always on a National Tour or in the West End - but now, finally, we have been given permission to stage our own production.
This will be no small feat since, as you may know, the play takes place both front and back stage, meaning that in one act you watch the actors cope with trying to do their best in front of the audience, whilst in an another act you witness what is going on back stage to try to keep the production together. Needless to say - not everything goes according to plan!
Director Bryan Hodgson, who directed Ladykillers for us last year, is returning to take on this mammoth task.
